If it can't truthfully be said that the majority of Americans are pro-life then it can at least be said the the majority of Americans are idealists who would prefer not to think about disturbing issues. They don't like abortion but they hope someone else will think of another legal, safe alternantive. Why is there no research being done to provide safer, less disturbing methods for abortion? It may be unethical for clinics to not admit the whole truth but if it is completely unlawful then it is a law they feel they can get away with breaking. The only studies I have seen are labled "pro-life" which makes it insulting for all of you to read. This information is taboo and therefore off limits to our schools and children's programs to teach.
You are the only ones who know the truth. You know the pain, the reasons that push you into a decision you might not have wanted. But few people hear your voice. Shame and pride in society, in your own hearts, have pushed you to this silent, safe place where apart from other victims,
no one hears your cries.
If in your hearts you truly wish for things to change and to protect others from your fate, not necessarily to make abortion illegal, then you are the ones who need to find a voice somewhere in public society. Make people think about this. Make them teach their children the cosequences. Make them support research to make abortion a safer procedure, and to aid in the healing process afterwards.
